Tamang Heritage trek

  • Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)

    Upon arriving at the Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, you will be greeted by the representative of K.J. Adventures. He will then transfer you to the hotel and help you through the check-in process. The representative will then brief you regarding the programs of the adventure in detail. Overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek preparation (1,300m/4,264ft)

    A leisure day in the city with a full-day sightseeing in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites around Kathmandu valley. We will visit: Pashupatinath Temple Pashupatinath Temple is one of the holiest shrines of the Hindus. It is also considered as the largest Hindu temple in South Asia with iconic Hindu God, Goddesses and hundreds of Shiva Lingam. The two-tiered golden temple is a perfect example of the Nepalese architecture. Although tourists are not allowed inside the premises of the temple, they can witness the open cremation in the bank of the Bagmati river. Boudhanath Stupa Boudhanath Stupa is one of the biggest and oldest Buddhist monument in the world. It is Considered to be the tomb of Kassapa Buddha, Boudhanath marks as one of the most significant destinations in Buddhism. The place is no less significant when it comes to architecture. The dome-shaped stupa is built with different three levels in a Mandala style and is decorated with colorful prayer flags. The atmosphere of Boudhanath Stupa is both vibrant as well as tranquil. Kathmandu Durbar Square Located in the heart of the city, Kathmandu Durbar Square holds the ancient royalties of Nepal. The site holds the massive Royal square with varieties of temples dedicated to Hindu Gods and Goddesses. Other attraction of this place is Kumari Ghar, Taleju Temple, Kasthamandap, Kaal Bhairav, and Jagannath Temple. Swayambhunath Stupa Another ancient marvel located in the western hillock of Kathmandu. This Buddhist stupa is considered one of the best attraction of Kathmandu City. From ancient architecture to ancient symbolism, Swayambhunath is an important shrine in both Buddhist as well as Hindu culture. The stupa comprises many important shrines, monastery, temples, museum, and library. After the full day sightseeing, we will do the necessary preparation for the trek in the evening. Overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 03: Drive to Syabrubesi (1,550m/5,100ft)

    We depart from Kathmandu, early in the morning for Syabrubesi. This 7-hour drive winds through the high ridges providing excellent views of Langtang, Annapurna, Manaslu, and Ganesh Himal. We drive through the bustling town of Trishuli and Dhunche before reaching our overnight destination at Syabrubesi. Overnight at the local teahouse.

  • Day 04: Syabrubesi to Gatlang (2,200m/7,217ft)

    After breakfast,we will start our trek to Gatlang Village through Goljung Village,enjoying magnificent views of the Ganesh Himal, Shishapangma, Langtang Lirung and other himalayan views.Gatlang is a small village set high on a hillside among terraced fields with traditional stone houses.Overnight at Gatlang.

  • Day 05: Gatlang to Tatopani (2607m/8550 ft)

    After breakfast,we start our trek descending to Thangbuche with magnificent views of the Ganesh Himal and Langtang Ranges on the way. Then,the trek ascends to Tatopani by passing through the Chilime Hydropower dam.The name "Tatopani " means 'hot water' in Nepali .The village of Tatopani used to have natural hot springs that are known to relieve aching muscles but are no longer there after the earthquake in April 2015.Overnight at Tatopani

  • Day 06: Tatopani to Thuman (2,400m/7,874 ft)

    Today we trek from Tatopani to Thuman passing through the dense alpine forest and mesmerizing views of Langtang, Sanjen,Kerung and Ganesh Himal along the way.Overnight at Thuman.

  • Day 07: Thuman to Briddhim (2,345m/7,693 ft)

    After breakfast,we trek to Briddhim,a Tibetan Buddhist village located on the lap of the Langtang Himal.In Briddim,we notice that most of the houses are spread in a Z-shape across the land with most of the houses made by stones and are inhabited mostly by tibetan immigrants.Overnight at Briddhim .

  • Day 08: Briddhim to Syabrubesi (1,550m/5,100ft)

    After breakfast,we continue our last trek of the trip descending downhill to Syabrubesi.Overnight at Briddhim

  • Day 09: Drive to Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft)

    After breakfast,we drive back to Kathmandu. Upon arriving at the city, the representative of K.J Adventures will escort us to the hotel where we can relax and freshen up. We might also wander around Thamel for the souvenir shopping. In the evening, we will celebrate the success of our trek with a farewell dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 10: International Departure

    Departure day! Depending upon your flight schedules, the representative of K.J. Adventures will pick you up from the hotel and escort you to the airport for the final departure.
