Kunjan Chhetri, the founder of K.J. Adventures, was born and raised in Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. Despite growing up in the vibrant streets and luxurious lifestyle, Kunjan was fascinated by the beauty of remote terrains and the majestic Himalayas since his childhood. Unlike most of the Nepali citizens, Kunjan started his career as a senior receptionist in Hotel Thamel after graduation. However, after working in the hospitality industry for 3 years, he decided to pursue his career in travel and adventure.
“Although my family wanted me to pursue my career abroad, I realized there was no pleasure in spending my life doing things I was not passionate about. As far back as I can remember, my passion had always been to travel and explore the isolated trails in the Himalayas.”
With the determination to lead Nepal’s tourism industry with sustainable initiatives, Kunjan Thapa established K.J Adventures in 2018. His ambition to initiate the company was to provide the authentic as well as sustainable travel holiday experience to all the adventure enthusiasts who share the similar passion.
Determined to make the difference and serve the best holiday package, Kunjan frequently visits the hotels and teahouses in the trekking trails of Nepal to identify the best possible options for his clients. With a sheer passion for travel and adventure, Kunjan dreams to grow his company, K.J. Adventures, to become a leading independent travel specialist in the world.
