Australian Camp - Dhampus trek is relatively shorter trekking destination tucked
along the Himalayas of Annapurna. Although short in distance, this trek is
instinctively rewarding and provides a substantial impression of the Himalayas at its
finest.
Australian Camp - Dhampus trek offers a great opportunity to explore the enchanting
jungle trails, high hill stations, beautiful settlements, and diverse landscape. From the
early morning sunrise to the late evening sunset, the colors and sceneries keep
changing along the trails. Australian Camp - Dhampus trek also provides surreal
views over the valleys along with stunning mountains including Annapurna range,
Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Lamjung Himal, and Hiunchuli. With the

highest elevation point at around 2,100m, this trek is considered ideal for novice
travelers looking for a quick getaway in the Himalayas.
Embarking the journey with a short drive from Pokhara to Kande, we trek along the
stone stairways to the gorgeous ridge of Australian Camp. Traversing through the
enchanting forests with delightful mountain sceneries, we head towards the
traditional Gurung village at Dhampus. We finally descend to Phedi and take our ride
back to the city of lakes, Pokhara.
