Annapurna Panorama Trek

  • Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu. (1,300m/4,264ft)

    Once you arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, you will be welcomed by the representative of K.J. Adventures. The representative will transfer you to the hotel and help you through the check-in process. He will then brief you about the programs and plans in detail. Overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 02: Kathmandu Sightseeing and Trek preparation. (1,300m/4,264ft)

    On this day, we will do a full-day sightseeing in the cultural heritage sites around Kathmandu valley. The place we will visit on this day are: Pashupatinath Temple Pashupatinath Temple is one of the holiest shrines of the Hindus. It is also considered as the largest Hindu temple in South Asia with iconic Hindu God, Goddesses and hundreds of Shiva Lingam. The two-tiered golden temple is a perfect example of the Nepalese architecture. Although tourists are not allowed inside the premises of the temple, they can witness the open cremation in the bank of the Bagmati river. Boudhanath Stupa Boudhanath Stupa is one of the biggest and oldest Buddhist monument in the world. It is Considered to be the tomb of Kassapa Buddha, Boudhanath marks as one of the most significant destinations in Buddhism. The place is no less significant when it comes to architecture. The dome-shaped stupa is built with different three levels in a Mandala style and is decorated with colorful prayer flags. The atmosphere of Boudhanath Stupa is both vibrant as well as tranquil. Kathmandu Durbar Square Located in the heart of the city, Kathmandu Durbar Square holds the ancient royalties of Nepal. The site holds the massive Royal square with varieties of temples dedicated to Hindu Gods and Goddesses. Other attraction of this place is Kumari Ghar, Taleju Temple, Kasthamandap, Kaal Bhairav, and Jagannath Temple. Swayambhunath Stupa Another ancient marvel located in the western hillock of Kathmandu. This Buddhist stupa is considered one of the best attraction of Kathmandu City. From ancient architecture to ancient symbolism, Swayambhunath is an important shrine in both Buddhist as well as Hindu culture. The stupa comprises many important shrines, monastery, temples, museum, and library. After the sightseeing, we will do the necessary preparation for the trek.

  • Day 03: Drive to Pokhara. (910m/2,984ft)

    In the early morning, we depart from Kathmandu to the city Pokhara. The 6-hours drive via Prithvi Highway is one of the most scenic adventures with the glimpses of green valleys, terraced fields, rivers, rocky gorges, and traditional rustic life of Nepal. Upon arriving at Pokhara, we walk around the tranquil Phewa Lake in the afternoon. Overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 04: Drive to Nayapul and Trek to Tikhedhunga. (1,570m/5,150ft)

    After the early morning breakfast, we begin our adventure with 1 and a half hours of Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul. Upon arriving at Nayapul, we begin our walk to Tikhedhunga. The trail leads through the prosperous town of Birethanti and then into the bamboo forest alongside the Modi Khola. After that, the trail leads to a gradual climb through the valley to reach the village of Hille. Furthermore, a short ascend from Hille leads us to our overnight destination at Tikhedhunga.   • Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani. (2,850m/9,348ft)

    Our day begins with a steep climb towards Ulleri, a Magar settlement at the elevation of 2,070m. After an hour of gradual walk from Ulleri, the trails slowly ascends through the rhododendron and oak forest until Banthanti. We then continue our walk through a small settlement at Nangethanti and finally to Ghorepani, one of the most popular villages in the Annapurna region. Ghorepani offers a breathtaking view of some of the world’s highest mountains including Annapurna I, Dhaulagiri, Hiunchuli, and Nilgiri. Ghorepani lies in the Annapurna Conservation Area and holds the world’s largest rhododendron forest. Overnight at a local teahouse.

  • Day 06: Hike up to Poon Hill and Trek to Tadapani. (2,700m/8,860ft)

    This is definitely the most important day in Annapurna Panorama Trek. Since we need to catch the sunrise over the Himalayas, waking up early on this day is mandatory. We begin our early morning walk towards the Poon Hill to witness the moment of magnificence. Upon reaching the vantage point, we watch over the Himalayan giants as the first ray of sun break in. We also enjoy the panoramic view of towering peaks including Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I - II - III - IV, Machhapuchhre, Lamjung Himal, Nilgiri, and Himchuli. After spending some spectacular moments in Poon Hill, we head back to Ghorepani. From here, we trek through the dense rhododendron forest towards our overnight destination at Tadapani. Tadapani offers a fascinating close-up view of Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre and Nilgiri Himal. Overnight at a local teahouse.

  • Day 07: Trek to Ghandruk. (1,950m/6,396ft)

    We start our day with an early morning breakfast. After the breakfast, we walk through the shades of rhododendron woods and deep valleys. The trail follows the river beds and passes through occasional waterfalls until we reach the thoroughly touristy village at Ghandruk. Ghandruk is a small settlement dominated by Gurung inhabitant and mostly occupied by stone houses. The up-close view of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre are more than alluring. In the afternoon, we explore the village and visit the Gurung museum to comprehend the culture and tradition of the village. Overnight at the teahouse.

  • Day 08: Trek to Nayapul and drive to Pokhara. (910m/2,984ft)

    Today, we head back to Nayapul from Ghandruk. We descend down the stone stairs and pass through the terraced farms to reach Birethanti. We then walk for about an hour to reach Nayapul. Upon reaching Nayapul, we catch our ride and drive back to the city of lakes, Pokhara. Overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 09: Drive/Flight back to Kathmandu. (1,300m/4,264ft)

    On the final day of our adventure, we either catch an early morning bus from Pokhara or we fly back to Kathmandu. Upon arriving, we will first check-in at our hotel. We can either relax in the hotel for the rest of day or we can also stroll around Thamel and go shopping. Farewell dinner in the evening. Overnight at the hotel.

  • Day 10: International Departure

    Farewell day! On this day, K.J. Adventure’s representative will pick you up from the hotel according to your flight time and transfer you to the airport for the final departure.
