Annapurna Circuit Trek is considered as one of the most spectacular adventure holidays in the heart of the Himalayas. Since its official commencement to the foreign travelers in the late 70s, this classic destination has earned its reputation as the ‘Holy Grail’ amongst the travel junkies.
Annapurna Circuit provides an excellent opportunity to explore the unique cultures and diverse landscapes. From arid valleys of Manang, home of Tibetan Buddhists, to the sacred Hindu pilgrimage site of Muktinath, you will discover a unique diversity in every step of this adventure. The trail also passes through the world’s highest gorge, the Kali Gandaki gorge, that lies between the Annapurna I and Dhaulagiri. In the circuit, we also explore places like Manang, Mustang, Jomsom, Muktinath, and Poon Hill, which also ranks as the highlights of this trip. Traversing through the picturesque villages, ever-changing landscapes, diverse cultures, along with magnificent mountains views is certainly a life-changing experience.
Despite its popularity, the Annapurna Circuit is no walk in the park. As the journey embarks from less than 1,000m at Besisahar and leads up to 5,416m at Thorong La Pass, the trails might get challenging at times and demand serious commitments. The route entirely revolves around the mighty Annapurna massif in an anti-clockwise direction offering a massive altitudinal variation as well.
